What is Stress?

Consciously or not, chances are that you’ve experienced the sensation of stress. It can feel like a crushing pressure coming at you from all angles, or it could feel like you’re treading water, alone, in a vast ocean. However you experience it, it’s not pleasant, and stress might not always manifest itself in the same way. Ultimately, stress is the feeling we get when too much mental or emotional pressure is put on us. When the pressure feels so high that we don’t believe we can cope, we are experiencing stress.

Along with food and water, sleep is vital to a healthy existence – but it seems there are more and more factors stopping us getting the rest that our bodies and minds need. Stress is one of the biggest causes of sleep deprivation in modern times.

Relaxation Zone offers deep breathing exercises, calming music to help relieve stress and have a good night's sleep. Music can have a profound effect on both the emotions and the body. Faster music can make you feel more alert and concentrate better.
